At Karingal Primary School, we value the important contribution volunteers make to our school community. Volunteers help support student learning, school programs, special events and positive community connections across many areas of school life.
We welcome parents, carers, grandparents and community members who would like to become involved in supporting our students and school community through volunteering opportunities.
Students benefit when families and community members are actively involved in school life.
Ways to Get Involved
There are many ways for families and community members to become involved in school life. Volunteers contribute their time, skills and experience in a variety of areas throughout the year.
Classroom Support
Assist teachers and students during learning activities, literacy programs, classroom projects and special learning experiences.
Excursions and Camps
Support students during excursions, sporting events and camp programs by helping supervise activities and ensuring students have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Breakfast Club
Help provide a welcoming start to the day by assisting with the preparation and serving of Breakfast Club. Volunteers help create a positive environment where students can enjoy a nutritious breakfast and connect with others before learning begins.
Special Events and Celebrations
Volunteer at school events such as performances, community celebrations, fundraising activities and special occasions held throughout the year.
Working Bees
Karingal Primary School holds a Working Bee once each term, providing families and community members with an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of our school grounds and learning environment.
Working Bees may involve gardening and landscaping projects, maintaining outdoor learning spaces, preparing areas for school events and supporting environmental initiatives across the school.
KPS Village Initiatives
Support activities and projects coordinated by KPS Village, helping strengthen community connections and enhance opportunities for students and families.
Uniform Shop Support
Assist with uniform-related activities and help families access school uniform information and resources where required.
To help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, all volunteers are required to complete the school’s volunteer induction process and follow Child Safe and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements.
