School Facilities

Karingal Primary School provides a range of modern facilities and learning spaces designed to support engaging and contemporary learning opportunities for all students.

Our spacious grounds and well-maintained environment create a welcoming setting where students are encouraged to learn, explore and connect with others.

The school features a variety of flexible learning spaces that support collaboration, creativity and student engagement across all areas of the curriculum.

Classrooms are equipped with contemporary technologies and ICT resources that enhance teaching and learning experiences and help students develop important skills for the future.

A key feature of the school is the BER Building, opened in 2011, which serves as the school’s junior learning centre.

The BER Building provides welcoming and flexible learning environments that support younger students as they begin their learning journey at Karingal Primary School. Designed to encourage collaboration, engagement and positive transitions into school life, the space supports both learning and wellbeing through contemporary, student-focused learning areas.

In 2024, Karingal Primary School celebrated the opening of a new school hall and dedicated art room, further enhancing opportunities for student learning, creativity, performances and whole-school events. These modern facilities provide flexible spaces that support both curriculum programs and community activities across the school.

Students also benefit from access to specialist learning areas for programs including Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Science, Physical Education and Japanese, supporting a broad and engaging curriculum across all year levels.

Outdoor spaces play an important role in learning and wellbeing at Karingal Primary School. In 2024, the school also introduced a new junior playground and half basketball court, providing additional opportunities for active play, physical activity and social connection for younger students.

The school’s existing full basketball court was resurfaced in early 2024, further improving outdoor recreational and sporting facilities for students across the school community.

One of the school’s most valued features is the community garden, which supports hands-on learning experiences connected to sustainability, environmental awareness and student wellbeing.

Guided by the school’s vision to “Sow, Grow, Nurture and Harvest,” the garden provides opportunities for students to develop practical skills, build connections with nature and participate in meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Karingal Primary School also values the importance of creating safe, inclusive and accessible environments that support the wellbeing and success of every learner.

Through ongoing improvements and continued investment in facilities, the school remains committed to providing high-quality learning environments for both current and future generations of students.
