A Message from the Principal

Welcome to the Karingal Primary School website.

We hope you enjoy looking through our website and getting to know more about our school and why we love it.  We are committed in providing a friendly, dynamic and secure learning environment that strives to develop respectful, resilient, life long learners.

Our school has and continues to develop a strong learning culture that encourages and celebrates student successes and efforts in many ways, such as academic achievements, the arts, sporting achievements, chess tournaments and wellbeing attributes.

The school is proud to offer two curriculum streams.  We have an exciting traditional educational program and one based on the Montessori approach and philosophy.

Our dedicated and committed staff strive to provide the best learning opportunities for children from Foundation to Year 6. They have a genuine affection for the children in their care and develop positive relationships to support their social and emotional wellbeing and promote a connectedness to our school.

There is a strong emphasis on the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy at Karingal Primary School.  These key elements of learning are well supported through a balanced program that includes the specialist programs of Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Japanese and Physical Education.  Programs are tailored to personalise learning opportunities and designed to best meet the needs of each individual student.

At all times great emphasis is placed on building relationships amongst students, between teachers and students and with parents and caregivers of our students.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming new families to our friendly, supportive school environment.

The Child Safe Standards
The Child Safe Standards are Victoria's approach to ensuring a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse.  For schools the Child Safe Standards will ensure that proactive systems and processes are in place to prevent and respond to child abuse.
