Since opening in 1966, Karingal Primary School has been an important part of the local community, supporting generations of students and families.

In 2026, the school proudly celebrates 60 years of education, connection and community, recognising the generations of students, staff and families who have contributed to the school’s rich history and ongoing success.

Located in the Karingal community of Frankston, Karingal Primary School has continued to grow and evolve while maintaining a strong focus on student wellbeing, high-quality learning and community connection.

Over the decades, the school has expanded its facilities, programs and learning opportunities to support contemporary education and meet the changing needs of students and families.

This has included the development of modern learning spaces, specialist programs and the continued integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

A significant milestone in the school’s history was the introduction of the Montessori learning pathway, providing families with an additional educational choice and further strengthening the school’s commitment to supporting diverse learning styles and student needs.

Recent upgrades have continued to enhance the school environment, including the opening of a new hall, art room, junior playground and upgraded basketball facilities in 2024.
