Child Safe Standards

Karingal Primary School is committed to providing a child-safe environment where the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of every child and young person is supported and prioritised.

We actively promote a culture of safety, respect and inclusion through our policies, practices and everyday interactions across the school community. Students are encouraged to feel confident in expressing their thoughts, concerns and ideas, knowing they will be listened to and supported.

Our school follows the Victorian Child Safe Standards and works to ensure child safety is embedded across all aspects of school life. This includes promoting student voice, maintaining clear expectations for behaviour, supporting cultural safety and fostering inclusive practices for all students.

Staff, volunteers and visitors share a collective responsibility to uphold child safety and contribute to an environment where students feel protected, respected and valued.

At Karingal Primary School, child safety is central to creating a positive and supportive environment where all students can learn and thrive.
