The KPS Village (formerly Parents and Friends)

Welcome to The KPS Village

The KPS Village is our school’s community collective, bringing together families, carers, staff, volunteers and supporters to strengthen connection, support school initiatives and create positive experiences for students.

Formerly known as Parents & Friends, The KPS Village continues the same strong community spirit while embracing a more inclusive and contemporary identity that reflects the many people who contribute to school life at Karingal Primary School.

The name “Village” reflects the shared belief that supporting children is a collective effort, built through connection, belonging and partnership across our wider school community.

Through community events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising initiatives and family engagement activities, The KPS Village helps foster a welcoming, connected and inclusive school environment where every member of our community feels valued and supported.

Bringing Our School Community Together

The KPS Village supports our school community through a range of initiatives and opportunities which may include:

  • community events and school celebrations
  • fundraising initiatives and school support projects
  • volunteer opportunities and family involvement
  • community-building activities and partnerships
  • supporting school programs, resources and experiences
  • creating meaningful connections across our school community

Every contribution, whether big or small, helps strengthen our village and support positive outcomes for students.

A Connected and Inclusive Community

The KPS Village reflects Karingal Primary School’s commitment to:

  • belonging
  • shared responsibility
  • partnership
  • community connection
  • student-centred support

By creating a more open and community-focused identity, The KPS Village encourages broader participation and helps build a stronger sense of connection across the school community.

Families, carers, grandparents, staff, alumni, volunteers and community supporters are all welcome to become involved and help continue building a thriving and inclusive school community.

Get Involved

Whether supporting an event, volunteering your time, contributing ideas or simply connecting with other families, every level of involvement helps strengthen our school community.

Information about upcoming events, opportunities and ways to get involved will be shared throughout the year through school communication channels.
