Financial Management

Karingal Primary School is committed to responsible financial management and the effective use of resources to support student learning, wellbeing and school improvement.

School finances are managed in line with Department of Education requirements and overseen by School Council to ensure funding and resources are used effectively, responsibly and in the best interests of the school community.

School Council plays an important role in overseeing the school’s financial governance.

Budgets, expenditure and financial planning are regularly reviewed to support transparency, accountability and informed decision-making across the school.

Financial planning also helps ensure resources are allocated in ways that support school priorities and ongoing improvement.

Funding and resources help support a wide range of areas across the school, including:

  • teaching and learning programs
  • student wellbeing initiatives
  • school facilities and maintenance
  • classroom resources and technology
  • staff professional learning
  • extracurricular activities and programs

Karingal Primary School also manages parent payments, curriculum contributions, camps, excursions and voluntary contributions in accordance with Department guidelines and the school’s Parent Payments Policy.

Financial management practices at the school align with Department of Education requirements, including auditing, reporting and accountability obligations.

Annual financial reporting also forms part of the school’s ongoing commitment to transparency and responsible governance.

Through careful planning and responsible management of school resources, Karingal Primary School continues to support a safe, inclusive and high-quality learning environment for all students.
