Dress Rehearsal Tuesday 15th November - in the middle block.
All students will need to bring their costumes to school by this date or have arranged to borrow a costume from the school. This is a chance for the students to see the whole show for the first time and for us to check costumes and props. NO make-up or face paint will be worn at the dress rehearsal.
Please bring costumes to school in a named plastic bag.
Costumes needed
There are some costumes that we still need to source. If you are able to lend or donate costumes that your children have grown out of or do not need, please bring them to the Performing Arts room.
Please put them in a named plastic bag if you would like them returned after the show.

On the Night – Monday 21st November
Children will need to be dropped off between 5.30pm and 6pm on the night. The theatre foyer will be open from 5.30pm where families can wait for the show to start.
Children should be dropped off to the Peninsula Room door to be signed in with their class teacher. The door to the Peninsula Room is to the left of the main Arts Centre Entry. See photo below.
If your child is running a few minutes late and will arrive before 9:10am, then they can quickly check in at the office to receive a late pass.
We are mandated by the department to monitor attendance and late arrives at school and would really appreciate your support in signing your child/children in and out of school.
ABSENCES
The school has again set itself a target to reduce student absence throughout 2022. Please be aware that parents/guardians will be contacted by the school if there has not been a notification of a student’s absence by 10:00 am.
To report a student’s absence please call the school number on 9788 4800 and you will be asked to dial 1 to be directed to the absence line. Absences can also be reported via the school website www.karingalps.vic.gov.au or on SchoolStream under forms.

Celebrating Culture, Identity and Belonging
At Karingal Primary School, diversity is not just recognised, it is embraced and celebrated as a core strength of our community. Our students, staff and families bring together a rich mix of cultures, languages, beliefs and experiences that shape a vibrant and inclusive school environment.
We believe that every child benefits from learning in a community where different perspectives are valued and every voice is respected. Through our curriculum and co-curricular opportunities, students are encouraged to explore, understand and appreciate the world around them, building empathy, respect and a strong sense of belonging.
We proudly acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which our school stands, the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
As a visible reflection of our commitment to inclusion, Karingal Primary School incorporates the Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags into our school uniform. These flags are a powerful symbol of our values, representing our dedication to celebrating culture, recognising identity and ensuring every member of our community feels seen, valued and proud.
