LATE ARRIVALS

We have had notification from the Department of Education that all students who arrive after 9:10am MUST be signed in by an ADULT at the OFFICE. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students.

If your child is running a few minutes late and will arrive before 9:10am, then they can quickly check in at the office to receive a late pass.

We are mandated by the department to monitor attendance and late arrives at school and would really appreciate your support in signing your child/children in and out of school.

ABSENCES
The school has again set itself a target to reduce student absence throughout 2022. Please be aware that parents/guardians will be contacted by the school if there has not been a notification of a student’s absence by 10:00 am.

To report a student’s absence please call the school number on 9788 4800 and you will be asked to dial 1 to be directed to the absence line. Absences can also be reported via the school website www.karingalps.vic.gov.au or on SchoolStream under forms.

Welfare Support Dragons

Our welfare support dragons have arrived!
Our gorgeous dragons have arrived! Some of our older students helped Valentina introduce them to our junior students. 🐉

Puppets can support children emotionally by giving them a “friend” to talk to, or a way to talk without having to speak directly. We can’t wait to put them into action as a part of our wellbeing program. 🌸

Thank you Valentina! ☺️
