2025 Planning
Staff are in the planning process for grades next year. If there is a request, please put in writing to myself or Jacquie Schneider. We will do our best to accommodate (provided it is a fair and reasonable request).

If your child is leaving our school, can you please notify the office asap. If you know of any children who have not yet enrolled, please encourage parents/carers to do so.

Year 56 Beach Days
Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December our Year 5 and 6 students will be enjoying learning about beach safety through activities on the beach. Please make sure all students have appropriate beach wear, plenty of sunscreen and wear their hats.

School Up Days - Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th December
We have two 'Up Days' in December whereby students get to meet their potential classmates and teachers for 2025. It is a time for teachers to observe students in new environments and make class placements for the best outcomes.

Christmas Carols and Year 56 Market Stalls- Wednesday 11th December 3.45pm
On Wednesday 11th December, Year 56 students will be running their own market stalls. This is prior to the Christmas Carols. Please come and visit their stalls and buy something yummy and/or creative.

I look forward to our annual Christmas Carols on the school oval after visiting the market stalls. Please keep this afternoon free and join in the festivities.

"Where Flowers Bloom So Does Hope"

We are delighted and proud to have been awarded the Most Engaging Garden for Play 2024 by the Victorian School Gardens Program!

A small group representing our much loved Garden Club attended the Award Ceremony at the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne last Thursday.  We had an amazing day!  Our prizes: A framed certificate + a $1,000 nursery voucher for which we are most grateful!

The stars of our garden (other than the students of course!) are without a doubt the Sunflowers which are not only thriving but are hosting dozens of gorgeous Lady Bugs, said to bring good fortune!

This morning a little group carefully picked our second round of strawberries while waiting for the rest to ripen...

Our cherry tomatoes are looking great and this morning we discovered our first tiny cucumbers!

The very first of our Dhalias has opened and over the next few days we should see many more in a mass of bright orange blooms!

Max and Finn have planted two Loganberry plants which should be ready to pick next week...

Savannah's pumpkins are doing so well as are Nathaniel and Tom's watermelons!

A few weeks ago Evie presented me with three tiny apple seeds which we potted up and magically two have already sprouted!

So looking forward to planting up a colourful flower border with Grade 3/4 on Thursday (fingers crossed the rain holds off until we finish!).

That's it for another busy week...

Hope to see you in the garden soon!

Marilyn
