Good Deed Box
Thank you to Amelia, Darcy and Ivy B for helping around the school. Congratulations for being selected from the Good Deed Box.
Congratulations are in order on the Award-winning efforts in our Community Garden!
Marilyn, Miss Cooke and selected students enjoyed the Award Presentation Ceremony and activities last Thursday at the Royal Botanic Gardens. They were blessed with good weather and sunshine which made the day so much more enjoyable in the gardens.
Everyone had a wonderful day and they came back to school with winners grins and a $1000 for our Community Garden.
"Where Flowers Bloom So Does Hope"
We are delighted and proud to have been awarded the Most Engaging Garden for Play 2024 by the Victorian School Gardens Program!
A small group representing our much loved Garden Club attended the Award Ceremony at the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne last Thursday. We had an amazing day! Our prizes: A framed certificate + a $1,000 nursery voucher for which we are most grateful!
The stars of our garden (other than the students of course!) are without a doubt the Sunflowers which are not only thriving but are hosting dozens of gorgeous Lady Bugs, said to bring good fortune!
This morning a little group carefully picked our second round of strawberries while waiting for the rest to ripen...
Our cherry tomatoes are looking great and this morning we discovered our first tiny cucumbers!
The very first of our Dhalias has opened and over the next few days we should see many more in a mass of bright orange blooms!
Max and Finn have planted two Loganberry plants which should be ready to pick next week...
Savannah's pumpkins are doing so well as are Nathaniel and Tom's watermelons!
A few weeks ago Evie presented me with three tiny apple seeds which we potted up and magically two have already sprouted!
So looking forward to planting up a colourful flower border with Grade 3/4 on Thursday (fingers crossed the rain holds off until we finish!).
That's it for another busy week...
Hope to see you in the garden soon!
Marilyn
