Swimming 2022

The P-4s had a massive four days of swimming to begin Term 4!🐠
It started with the excitement of the bus ride which was a first for many! 🚌 😃
Then it was into the pool for some pretty intensive lessons. 🏊
On day 3 students swam in clothes to help them understand what it would feel like if they fell into water fully clothed.
The last day had students rotate through survival skill activities, including how to help others, and also some fun in the aquatic playground. 🆘🙋🏽‍♂️

To be part of the colour run fundraising, please go to www.australianfundraising.com.au and register.
Classes with donations so far are M12, 3/4A, M3B, 0B and 1A.

Peter Coombes will be coming, in person, to our school on Tuesday 25th October. A reminder to you to have your permissions forms in and a reminder to me... don’t get star struck and embarrass yourself.

LATE ARRIVALS

We have had notification from the Department of Education that all students who arrive after 9:10am MUST be signed in by an ADULT at the OFFICE. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students.

If your child is running a few minutes late and will arrive before 9:10am, then they can quickly check in at the office to receive a late pass.

We are mandated by the department to monitor attendance and late arrives at school and would really appreciate your support in signing your child/children in and out of school.

ABSENCES
The school has again set itself a target to reduce student absence throughout 2022. Please be aware that parents/guardians will be contacted by the school if there has not been a notification of a student’s absence by 10:00 am.

To report a student’s absence please call the school number on 9788 4800 and you will be asked to dial 1 to be directed to the absence line. Absences can also be reported via the school website www.karingalps.vic.gov.au or on SchoolStream under forms.

NEW Uniform Supplier

We have recently changed our uniform supplier. We are now using A Plus Schoolwear. With the new supplier we have made purchasing your uniform easy. You simply log onto the website https://www.aplusschoolwear.com.au/ and purchase your garments. If you choose the deliver to school option, it will be packaged up and delivered to school, free of charge, for your children to bring home.

There is no actual uniform shop anymore, but the school will have 1 size of all garments for students to try on if necessary, before you place your order.

PSW no longer have any stock as we are going through the changeover process.
