Welcome to Term 4. I hope everyone had a lovely and relaxing holiday period. The term has started off very pleasingly with the children settled in well and solid learning has been taking place.
There will be a lot taking place in Term 4 including excursions, incursions, Splatacular fun run, Life Education, assessments, reports and best of all Christmas celebrations. If you do not want your child/ren participating in any of the activities mentioned, please let your teacher know.
SCHOOL CONCERT
Our school concert is on 21st November, 2022 at Frankston Arts Centre. Tickets are now available.
Welcome back!
School Colour Run is happening again this year on Friday 11/11/22. This is always a fabulous day with heaps and heaps of colour and smiling faces. When you raise money to help support our school, you can also gain yourself a reward for your effort. One year we had a very dedicated member of our school who raised enough money to score himself a PS4! To be part of the colour run fundraising, please go to www.australianfundraising.com.au and register.
Classes with donations so far are M12, 3/4A, M3B, 0B and 1A.
Peter Coombes
I am super excited for this incursion. C'mon parents, you remember.... Wash Your Face in Orange Juice, Newspaper Mama and Toffee Apple.
Peter Coombes will be coming, in person, to our school on Tuesday 25th October. A reminder to you to have your permissions forms in and a reminder to me... don’t get star struck and embarrass yourself.
Sophie (1A) was avidly reading during the MS Read-a-thon!
She read 17 books and raised $100!!
Congratulations on a wonderful achievement Sophie!
One of our Key Improvement Strategies at Karingal Primary School for 2022 is to keep developing a whole school culture around the importance of being at school.
CONGRATULATIONSIf your child is running a few minutes late and will arrive before 9:10am, then they can quickly check in at the office to receive a late pass.
We are mandated by the department to monitor attendance and late arrives at school and would really appreciate your support in signing your child/children in and out of school.
ABSENCES
The school has again set itself a target to reduce student absence throughout 2022. Please be aware that parents/guardians will be contacted by the school if there has not been a notification of a student’s absence by 10:00 am.
To report a student’s absence please call the school number on 9788 4800 and you will be asked to dial 1 to be directed to the absence line. Absences can also be reported via the school website www.karingalps.vic.gov.au or on SchoolStream under forms.

Children all around the world are all having nightmares. But, can the BFG and Danielle’s friends manage to lift the blanket of darkness in time and turn all the nightmares back to golden dreams? Join them as they learn about the magpies, the “Parrwangs”, and about how to be good friends.
We have recently changed our uniform supplier. We are now using A Plus Schoolwear. With the new supplier we have made purchasing your uniform easy. You simply log onto the website https://www.aplusschoolwear.com.au/ and purchase your garments. If you choose the deliver to school option, it will be packaged up and delivered to school, free of charge, for your children to bring home.
There is no actual uniform shop anymore, but the school will have 1 size of all garments for students to try on if necessary, before you place your order.
PSW no longer have any stock as we are going through the changeover process.
