Principal News - 9th August, 2024

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome to August and some sunshine!
I hope you have all been enjoying the Olympic Games and watching our Australian athletes do our country proud.

I would like to thank the staff, students and community at KPS for making Principal Day so very special for myself. It is an honour to lead our AMAZING school.

COMPASS School Management System
As you are aware, as of Term 3, Karingal PS has been transitioning to a new School Management System named COMPASS.

This week, a letter went home with information on how to register for COMPASS, including individual login pins. If you did not receive this letter, please contact the school.

COMPASS will be the platform whereby all information will be provided. As of Term 4, there will be no School Stream.

As always, support will also be available to anyone who requires it.

100 Days of Prep
On Tuesday 31st July, Karingal Primary School joined in the celebrations with our Prep students who completed 100 days of learning. A very successful day was enjoyed by our Prep students and their families. The effort that was put into costumes was amazing and the children looked wonderful. The children enjoyed parading in their costumes and completed classroom activities about the number 100.

Thank you to families/carers for joining and celebrating the event.

Thank you to Miss Venter, Fiona, Amanda and Miss Deniese for their organisation and participation of the celebration and educating our preppies for 100 days.

Parent Opinion Survey

Dear Parents/Carers

Each year Karingal Primary School conducts a Parent Opinion Survey with the school community. All families are invited to participate in the survey. Results will be used to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement.

Please take the time to complete the survey as your opinions are important to us and will contribute to the future management and organisation of our school. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students.

  • The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete.
    • The survey can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
  • The survey will be open from Monday 29th July to Friday 30th August 2024.

Please be assured that your responses are completely confidential. The survey is conducted anonymously, and it is important to us that you complete the survey as honestly as possible.

Last week, you were provided with a PIN to complete the survey. This is to ensure that parents / caregivers / guardians only complete the survey once. The school can never see your responses linked with the PIN.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey. As always, Karingal Primary School wants to do the best we can for all our students and families.
