Principal News - 9th February, 2024

Dear Families

I would like to welcome back all our Karingal PS families and extend that welcome to our new families that have joined us.
We have had a wonderful start to the year with a very calm and settled environment.

Reach for the Stars
This year, our school theme is 'Reach for the Stars'. This will be about reinforcing our high expectations in numerous areas of learning and wellbeing and being our best.

School Uniform
Thank you to all parents/carers in supporting our school uniform and expectations. It has been extremely pleasing to see all students in the expected school shirts and navy pants or school dresses. A reminder there is no jewellery allowed (apart from sleeper/stud earings and religious items), no hair colouring and no nail polish. It is preferable that students wear white or black plain shoes.

Book fees and School fees
Thank you to all parents/carers who have paid the book fees and school fees. A reminder that the book fees are required to be paid as these items are for your child. School fees are a voluntary contribution which assist the school in curriculum items such as art and music supplies, technology and keeping up the beautiful appearance of our school.
If you have not already done so, can you please make your way to the office and pay your book fees.

Assemblies
School assembly will be held each Friday fortnight at 2.50pm. We are very much hoping our next assembly on Friday 16th February will be in our new school building. Fingers crossed.

Newsletter

The newsletter will be emailed out to all families fortnightly on a Friday. If you know of someone that is not receiving the newsletter, please let the office staff know.
Alternatively, if you would like a hard copy, please let the office staff know.

Water Bottles
A friendly reminder that students should only be bringing water to school as a drink. Water bottles are allowed to be on students desks at all times for easy access.

Curriculum Days 2024

Please be aware Curriculum Days for 2024 are:
  1. 12th March
  2. 11th June
  3. 29th August
  4. 5th November

Stay safe and take care

EVERY DAY COUNTS

Welcome to our Prep class of 2024

We welcome our new Prep students to Karingal Primary School. They are learning a lot of new things and being helped along the way from our amazing older students. Prep and Year 5 buddies had their first activity together on Thursday 8th February, making muffins. It was a lot of fun!

New Junior Playground

Over the summer holidays our new junior playground was completed. Students were excited to return to school for 2024 and discover that the new junior playground had been completed.

Students are having a lovely time developing their cognitive, physical, social and emotional skills in our new junior playground!
