Merry Christmas from KPS School Council

WOW, 2023! What a year you have been! We’ve had concerts, fundraisers, excursions and lots of exciting changes happening around our school grounds, many projects that have been under construction for over a year now!

Term 4 has certainly been busy. We hosted the Northern Star Chess Open Semi-Final, our Junior School had an intensive week of swimming lessons and Grades 5/6 enjoyed Beach Days. We also had athletics carnivals, the Girls Football Tournament and Colour Splatacular Fun Run!

Our preps bought Christmas joy to the residents at the local Aged Care Home, we sat on the oval and enjoyed the Christmas Carols and finally we finished off the term with our WHOLE School Christmas Lunch. Phew! I think all of us deserve a nice long break!!

I would like to CONGRATULATE all of the students on their achievements this year whether it be in the classroom, sporting arena, chess table or on stage. I have been super impressed with each and every one of you.THANK YOU to the students who have given assistance with various activities and events throughout the year. As always it is a joy to see your enthusiasm in assisting with whatever has been needed.

Once again our SUPER AMAZING staff have gone above and beyond for our students to help give them some memorable experiences at Primary School. They give up much of their own time to provide these experiences and sometimes don’t get enough recognition. On behalf of the school council and ENTIRE school community THANK YOU for all you do for our students.

To Sam Cooke and Jacquie Schneider, THANK YOU for all your support and assistance this year. Most of what our parent’s and friends’ team have done wouldn’t be possible without you saying YES to our, sometimes crazy, ideas.

To Kerrie Toohey and Chris Davies THANK YOU for everything. You have always been willing to jump when I or another council member or parent needed something done. Both of you are still learning in your roles and have done so with grace, energy, and a smile.

To each parent and carer who have given up their time to assist with various events this year THANK YOU. There are too many for me to remember to name you individually, but you know who you are. NONE of our events could happen without you so THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

My FINAL THANK YOU is to my fellow school council members. It has been a busy year for us with the school review and appointing our wonderful new principal. It has been an absolute pleasure working with all of you this year and we should all be super proud of what we have achieved for the school community. I look forward to working with you again next year.To our Graduating class of 2023 – CONGRATULATIONS on completing your primary school journey. Wishing you all the best as you embark on the next phase of your schooling journey.

YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO

We have a lot of exciting events planned for next year and our lovely school is going to look absolutely amazing when you come back from holidays! We are so excited to officially open our new building, our newly resurfaced basketball court and our new junior school playground. We will also have a nice new electronic sign.I hope that our entire school community has a WONDERFUL holiday break. Rachael FranksSchool Council President

We recently held our Christmas Carols picnic in spectacular weather! There were performances by each class, our KPS Glee Club, Adele and Terence T, Two Bays Community Choir and members of the Frankston City Band.

Thank you to our parents, staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to provide these experiences for our children.

Grade 6 v Staff Netball

The whole school turned up to watch the Teachers V Grade 6 students netball game. The trash talk started before the first bell of the day but at the final bell (siren) the teachers walked away heads held high knowing for another year they had the bragging rights.
