Principal News - 13th October, 2023

Dear Families

I hope you all had a lovely and restful holiday break. It was a great time to enjoy the sunshine and warmth now that Winter has come upon us again!!

We have once again, enjoyed and celebrated a smooth start back to school. The children have settled in very well and resumed their high epectations of learning. 

I am very privileged and excited to commence my official role as Principal of Karingal Primary School. I look forward to another big and exciting term ahead of us.

District Athletics
On Wednesday 4th October, we had 10 students representing our school at the Divisional Aths Carnival. I would like to congratulate Alex (M3A), Hugo (M3A), Levi (56A), Marco (M3A), Rosa (34B), Brock (34A), Lachlan (56A), Khloe (56A), Tyrone (34B), Rachel (56B). We are very proud of these students for their efforts in the carnival.

Good luck to the following students who move onto the next level:
* Alex - 100m, shot put and relay
* Marco - relay
* Hugo - long jump and relay
* Levi - long jump 
* Lachlan - relay

56 Girls Footy
It was a lovely day for our 56 girls to compete playing football. They played 7 games in total and came second. Congratulations to the girls and Miss Holmes.


Friday 27th October - World Teacher's Day

CONGRATULATIONS Mrs Schneider

 

Karingal Primary School is delighted to announce that Mrs Schneider has been appointed Assistant Principal.

Jacquie has been in the role of acting Assistant Principal since the beginning of Term 2 last year and has commenced her role as the substantive Assistant Principal this term.

HATS, HATS. HATS...Term 4

Term 4 it is compulsory for every student to wear a hat when they are outside.
If a student is not wearing a hat, they will be asked to move to the 'undercover area'.
Hats can be purchased from the school office.

Divisional Athletics Carnival

Ten of our students represented KPS at the Divisional Athletics Carnival On Wednesday October 4th, 10 of our students represented Karingal at the Divisional Athletics Carnival and we could not be more proud of their efforts.

Alex from M3A came away 1st in Discus, 1st in 4x100 relay and 1st in Multi class shot put and 100m

Hugo from M3A finished 2nd in Long jump and 1st in the 4x 100m relay

Levi from 5/6A finished 2nd in Long jump

Marco from M3A finished 3rd in 100m, and 1st in the 4 x 100 relay

Rosa from 3/4B finshed 4th in Discus

Brock from 3/4A finished 3rd in Discus

Lachlan from 5/6A finshed 1st in the 4x100 relay

Khloe from 5/6A finished 5th in shot put

Tyrone from 3/4B finished 4th in both100m and Long jump

Rachel from 5/6B finished 3rd in 1500m and 4th in the 800m.

Levi, Hugo, Alex and our boys relay team will now move on to the Regional Championships. Let the training begin!!!

Girls AFL Team

On Friday October 6th our girls AFL team competed in a round robin tournament.

Our Girls AFL team took to the field coming away with 5 wins and 2 losses.

This resulted in the team finishing 2nd in our division and 3rd overall.

We are so proud of all of the players.

Well done girls!!!



World Teacher's Day


Students are asked to wear their hats (beanies, beret, bucket, bowler) to school in support of our AMAZING teachers.

Australia will celebrate the teaching profession on World Teachers’ Day on Friday 27 October 2023.

**Cookie Dough is expected to be delivered on Tuesday October 17th. We will update you via School Stream when it is ready to collect. Please note that the dough comes frozen and needs to be kept refrigerated. We don't have the facilities to store it at school so orders do need to be collected immediately**
