SubscribeWell, the hive is a BUZZZ already.
Sports days, planning for Education Week, Respectful Relationships beginning and a HUGE amount of Prep tours happening.
Foundation Preps for 2024
We have been inundated with prep tours from parents within and outside our zone. We would love to accommodate everyone but people in the zone are the first priority. It would be greatly appreciated if you have a child who will be attending Prep in 2024, that you please collect an enrolment form from the office as soon as possible. It will help us with our planning!
Respectful Relationships.
Respectful Relationships began this week across the school. The two topics covered this term will be Emotional Literacy and Personal Strengths. These topics go hand in hand with our Zones of Regulation. Students will be building their understanding of emotions that can be displayed verbally but also through body language. The personal strength topic relates closely to our school RIPRR values and how these values contribute to positive relationships.
Education Week
In week 5 we will be having our Education Week. This will incorporate National BEE DAY on Monday 22nd where all students will take part in making a whole school WellBEEing mural. We will also have Walk to School Day on the Tuesday with an open night on the Wednesday. The grade ¾ students have their science excursion and on Friday we have the African Drumming Incursion. The HIVE will definitely be BUZZING that week. It will be a crazy, busy week.
As soon as the bees were finished making their hive, they threw a big house-swarming party.
Hoping to see you all swarm to our Open Afternoon on Wednesday 24th May.
Buzzing off for now,
Jacquie Schneider

Our Parrwangs (Glee Club) will be singing at the Mornington Peninsula Community Choral Festival on Thursday 1st June @ 7pm.
This is an after-school event open to schools and community choirs. Singers need to be at the Mornington Community Theatre just after 6.30pm for a 7pm start (it doesn’t go late, 8 –8.30pm finish time). It is a lovely community concert and a chance to sing together with other local choirs. If your children are keen performers and members of our Glee Club – Save the date!! – you will be part of the appreciative audience.
Our Instrumental teacher from PMI, Julie, teaches both Piano and Guitar and currently has space for a beginner’s guitar group.
If your child would like to try playing guitar, this is an ideal opportunity to learn with others in a small group. The school guitars are available to borrow for a small deposit of $20 (to cover the cost of strings).
If you are interested, please contact Emma at Primary Music Institute.

Finally, our rehearsals for this year’s school concert, “True Colours” are underway with classes starting to learn their dances in the coming weeks. We have booked Frankston Arts Centre for the day with the performance in the evening on Monday 21st August.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
Take care – Keep singing!
Mary
