have been doing at home. We hope to share with you the enjoyment gained from seeing
our children grow into healthy productive citizens. Ways in which you
may contribute to your child’s progress at school Encourage your child to talk to
you by being a good listener. Allow some time each day to look
at the work brought home from school. Praise good effort. Give paintings and handicraft a place
of honour for a few days at least. If the teacher has printed some
words on their paper let them 'read' them to you. Later, as books come home enjoy their
new adventure of reading with them. Let them read the book to you,
talk about the story with them and let them tell you about the pictures. Remember that children need
sufficient REST and SLEEP. Please
put children to bed early (8:00pm), as school can be very tiring on little
bodies. Develop the practice of a bed time
story. |
